Liberia senate race: Landslide win for GeorgeWeah

The former football star George Weah has won a landslide victory in Liberia's senate elections, in polls disrupted by the Ebola outbreak.
Mr Weah got 78% of the vote for the Montserrado county seat, which includes the capital Monrovia.
He beat Robert Sirleaf, the son of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who took nearly 11%.
Low turnout in the poll, which was first planned for October, was blamed on concerns about Ebola. Strict health controls were in place to try to prevent the spread of the disease.
Health workers took the temperatures of voters as a precaution against Ebola
Turnout was low, despite safety measures
Those who came to polling stations had their temperature taken, were told to stand a metre (3ft) apart and wash their hands before and after voting.
Liberia has been one of the countries worst affected by Ebola, with almost 3,400 deaths, the UN says.
Other winners in the senate elections include Jewel Howard-Taylor, the ex-wife of the jailed former president Charles Taylor, and the former rebel leader Prince Johnson.
Both retained their seats.
The National Elections Commission chairman, Jerome Korkoya, called the conclusion of the vote "the end of a crucial journey".
Mr Weah won the first round of the 2005 presidential election, losing the runoff to Ms Johnson-Sirleaf.
He is the only African to be named Fifa's world player of the year, winning in 1995.

Fasting can regenerate immune system scientific discovery

The Telegraph recently reported that scientists at the University of Southern California (USC) have discovered that fasting “for as little as three days can regenerate the entire immune system,
even in the elderly, scientists have found in a breakthrough described as ‘remarkable.’”
New research suggests that fasting kick-starts stem cells into producing new white blood cells, which fight off infection.
Scientists at the University of Southern California found that fasting could be especially beneficial for people suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy.
It could also help the elderly whose immune system becomes less effective as they age, making it harder for them to fight off even common diseases.
The researchers say fasting “flips a regenerative switch” which prompts stem cells to create brand new white blood cells, essentially regenerating the entire immune system.
Valter Longo, corresponding author of the study and a professor at the USC Davis School of Gerontology, stated: “When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged.”
Longo added, “With a system heavily damaged by chemotherapy or aging, fasting cycles can generate, literally, a new immune system.”

To be succesful requires patience and persevirance music sensation- Akhere

With the words of Leo Tolstoy a great Rusi knw of phenomenon sian novelist and philosopher that's says "There is no greatness where there is no simplicity, goodness, and truth."  The life of this pragmatic and inspirational musical ibeji proves that there is nothing that cant be achieved through hard work and total faith in God. I had an encounter with the most talented reggae female artist of recent times and she drove me into her aspirations, dreams and prospects in life,in this intriguing interview.
MNIB- Please can we meet you?
Akhere-  My name is Okpiaifo Blessing Akhere I hail from Edo state and as the name connotes,I'm a twin, the youngest of a twin. Which is kehinde in yoruba language.
MNIB- I can see ,because i know twins are special children, but let me ask ,are you special and if you are what makes you special?
Akhere-  My simplicity, then God's love and grace makes me more than special.
MNIB- That's good, how was your growing up like judging from the fact that you are a twin?
Akhere-  It was fun! I had a normal childhood and I got the basic things I needed, to farewell. Though I and my twin fought a lot as kids, but right now we are so close. She's instrumental to my being an artiste today she helped me in taking the first step.  I'm grateful to her and above all God.
MNIB -Now tell us more about how your twin was instrumental to you being an artist  ?
Akhere- She knew music was my passion. But taking it up as a career was difficult. As u know ,music  is capital intensive but she believed so much in me, that she went through the stress of working herself to a pulp just to be able to send money to me from the states. She actually called me up one day and said Ak go look for the diary you wrote your songs I want you to go work on them.
Music then wasn't d best bet because I knew it required patience and perseverance. I wasn't  quite sure if I could do it judging from the monetary aspect too, but the moment I started, that was it for me. Its been wonderful and fulfilling ever since.

MNIB- I can really see why twins are special, now we know you are a talented artist and up coming at that, please can you tell your audience about your kind of genre and what was your inspiration.
Akhere-   I'm an Afro pop, reggae and soul artiste. My inspiration where artistes like  Celine Dion, Bob Marley amongst others. I grew up listening to these people and what I saw ,think and hear also inspires me,above all God is my super inspiration.
MNIB- i was opportune to listen to one of your tracks "Babylon City" what was the drive behind that track?
Akhere- A man on death row for 9yrs and 16years altogether in prison for a crime he did not commit inspired me to write the song Babylon City. He narrated his ordeal in prison as the most harrowing experience. He likened prison to Babylon city,a place where mental, physical and even spiritual slavery was at its peak They weren't better than the Jews in Babylon captivity. I was also opportune  to read his book, all that shaped my thoughts hence the inspiration to write the song titled Babylon City.
His death sentence was changed after 9yrs to a normal sentence. So he spent 16yrs in all in prison*
MNIB- Hmm ,its obvious that you are very creative to be able to come out with that hit single, Akhere your fans want to know when you are releasing your maiden album?
Akhere-  By God's grace soon. Its been very demanding financially doing all of this on my own. But I trust in God to make it happen soonest.
MNIB- Can you take your audience to the biggest show you have performed on, as an up coming musical artist.?
Akhere-  The biggest for me so far is the just concluded felaberation. Where I performed alongside Tuface Idibia, mode nine, Jazy Jagz , Nneka of Germany.
MNIB - How will you evaluate the Nigerian music industry in relation to your kind of genre?
Akhere-    The music industry is very competitive, and the standards are high in every sense of the word, but there's a place for everyone. So its big enough to  accommodate me.
MNIB- In the next five years where will this  phenomenon called AKHERE be?
Akhere- At the peak of my career, and completely fulfilled in all aspects of my life. God willing.
MNIB-  AKhere before i  let you go,what is your advice to young and up coming artistes in Nigeria?
Akhere-  Believe in yourself, in what you love. You would meet people along the line who would throw damaging words at you that you aint good enough and all ,but the only way u can spit right back to their faces is by showing them you can be what you wanna be and more. Its okay to stumble and fall getting yourself up and moving on till u get to your destination. With God all things are possible.
MNIB- Its been nice charting with you Akhere hope you will lease us this kind of opportunity when next we call?
Akhere-  Would be glad to. Thanks for having me.

Pope Francis prays in Istanbul’s Blue Mosque

Pope Francis prayed silently alongside
a senior Islamic cleric in Istanbul’s Blue
Mosque on Saturday, in a gesture of
inter-religious harmony in a country
bordering the conflicts in Syria and Iraq.
Francis took off his shoes as he entered the huge mosque, before bowing his head in prayer for several minutes, facing Mecca and standing next to
Istanbul’s Grand Mufti Rahmi Yaran, in what a
Vatican spokesman described as a joint “moment of silent adoration” of God.
A similar act by his predecessor Pope Benedict in 2006 drew criticism from conservative Catholics and some Muslims.

Several hundred people, many of them tourists, watched from behind police barriers as the pope then walked to the nearby Aya Sofya museum, once the Christian church Hagia Sophia.
A group of school children waving Turkish and Vatican flags chanted “Long live Pope Francis” in Italian as the Muslim call to prayer rang out across the Sultanahmet square, the heart of Istanbul’s historic quarter.
“We must show respect for each others beliefs. God willing the pope’s visit will help in this respect,”
said Halil Ibrahim Cil, 24, a hospital worker from Istanbul.
“We want to practise our religion in peace. We want people to understand Islam. We don’t want war.”

This is what religious and Godly leaders should preach, tolerance and Oneness of God creations. Long live the pope.

Uyo Sen race: I’ll defeat Ita Enang,OBA – Ekpe James

The council chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan local
government council and Uyo senatorial hopeful, Hon.
Ekpe James has been cleared for the contest by the
ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
James who disclosed this to newsmen in Uyo shortly
after he was cleared by the PDP screening panel, said
that he would defeat incumbent Senator Ita Enang and
former finance Commissioner, Obong Bassey Albert
Akpan at the party’s primaries billed for December.
On what his clearance by the PDP screening panel
holds for Uyo people, he said that, it was an act of God
Almighty, to whom alone all powers belong and
portends good tidings for the people of Uyo senatorial
district, who, he noted, would get the best of
responsive and people-oriented representation they
have lacked since the inception of the current
democracy.
Apostle James said that it is time to attract meaningful
federal developments to the district, which, he said, is
lacking and also ensure capacity development as well
as human empowerment would become the gain of the
zone.
He re-instated his conviction that he is set to succeed
incumbent, Senator Ita Enang in the National Assembly
come 2015, maintaining that he was not in the race to
add to the number but, to win it.
He argued that those who feel he is a ‘write-off’ were
limiting the power of God to lift men according to his
will, saying that he was not intimidated by the big
names in the race, but remains focused on the project
of offering true representation to his people.

We will flush PDP like Ebola - Chief oyegun

THE leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that the party will take over government at the federal level in 2015.
Chieftains of the party made this known at a mega rally held in Port Harcourt, on Saturday, to mark the seventh anniversary of the Governor Rotimi Amaechi-led administration in Rivers State.
APC national chairman, Chief Odigie Oyegun, assured that the party would sail to victory in the 2015 elections, not only in Rivers, but also at the federal level.
He likened the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the dreaded Ebola disease, noting that Nigeria would be made free of what he said was the PDP virus in 2015, just like the war was won against Ebola in the country.
“During the PDP South-South campaign, he (President Goodluck Jonathan) told the whole nation that APC does not exist in Rivers State; that it is only a poster party. We were worried and we concerned. Your governor, a fantastic man, was challenged.
“So, today, he brought all of us here. The entire leadership of APC is lined up here today. I want to tell you that we have come. I want to tell you that we have seen; I want to tell you that we are convinced, that your great governor, Chubuike Amaechi, controls Rivers State; that APC is in charge of Rivers State.
“Finally, those of you who will work for and will make sure that we get a permanent voter card so that they can vote on that day so that we can make Nigeria PDP-free as Rivers is today Ebola-free, give me a great big o yeah”, he said.
Former military Head of State and an APC presidential aspirant in the 2015 elections, General Muhammadu Buhari, said the people of the state had been very lucky to have Amachi as their governor in the last seven years.
He also assured that APC would, from 2015, meet the yearlings and aspiration of Nigerians for adequate security and development.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakr, who is also contesting the presidential election, said Rivers had witnessed tremendous and unsurpassed growth and development under the Amaechi administration.
“Do you want the progress to continue? Do you want to feel the projects? Do you want to eradicate poverty? Do you want to go to good schools? Do you want good roads? Do you want power? Vote APC, vote APC, vote APC”, he added.
Another presidential hopeful, Givernor Rabiu Kwakwanso of Kano State, congratulated his Rivers State counterpart on his developmental strides in the state, assuring that other parts of the country would work together with Rivers for sustainable peace and growth.
Nda Isaiah, publisher of the Leadership newspaper and APC presidential aspirant, also attested to the developmental efforts of Governor Amaechi and warned that anybody that planned to rig the 2015 elections would have to contend with great resistance from the people.
Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, said APC represented the change Nigerians were yearning for and assured that the party would present a presidential candidate devoid of religious or tribal sentiments.
“Let me say to all of you, when John the Baptist was preaching in the wilderness, he was saying to the PDP people, ‘repent, repent for APC is coming. PDP you came and gave my people poverty and disease. But this party coming after you which is called APC, shall provide the dividends of democracy”, he said.

But to be sincere whats the major difference between APC and PDP? to me they are all birds of the same feathers. we really need fresh air in Nigeria for either of the two can give us the air we really deserve.

ANC YOUTHS WARNS T.B JOSHUA NOT TO COME TO SOUTH AFRICA

SYNAGOGUE Church of All Nations (Scoan) founder Pastor
TB Joshua has been warned by the youth wing of the
African National Congress (ANC) not to visit South Africa
any time soon after 84 of its citizens died when his Lagos
hotel collapsed.
On September 12, a six-storey hotel building within Pastor
Joshua's church premises collapsed at Ikotun in Lagos,
killing 115 people of which 84 were South African. Following
the tragedy, the South African government has been under
pressure to seek legal redress to get compensation for the
victims.
South Africa's air force has evacuated the survivors,
sending a C-130 plane to bring them to Pretoria and Pastor
Joshua has offered to visit South Africa to empathise with
the families of the deceased. However, Bandile Masuku, a
spokesman for the ANC's youth wing said they would make
sure such trip never come to pass.
He added that Pastor Joshua would not be welcome in
South Africa and warned the South African government not
to issue a visa to him. Tempers are running high in South
Africa at the moment as of the 25 injured persons flown
back for treatment and rehabilitation at the Steve Biko
Academic Hospital in Pretoria, three of them are adjudged to
be permanently disabled.
Mr Masuku said: “TB Joshua should not be allowed to
come to South Africa until we know what happened to our
fellow countrymen at his church. We will make sure we
engage with the department of international relations and
co-operation to make sure they do not issue him a South
African visa.”
South Africa's social development deputy minister,
Hendrieta Bogopane Zulu, said the government would,
however, provide counselling to the affected families to
enable them cope with the trauma. At the moment the
corpses of 84 South Africans are lying at the Isolo General
Hospital morgue in Lagos and a South African forensic team
has begun identifying them.
South Africa's high commissioner to Nigeria, Lulu Mnguni,
said: “There are 115 bodies out there but we have our 84
and we will then confirm from our people. We have taken
DNA samples from family members who were here and we
have taken DNA samples from family members in South
Africa.
“That will help us determine who is South African and who
is not. We will then get our people released back to us.”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State government said it had
suspended all decisions on the collapsed building until it
gets the report from the panel of inquiry set up by the
federal government to investigate the incident. Aderemi
Ibirogba, the Lagos State commissioner for information and
strategy, said the state took the step to avoid working at
cross purposes with the federal government on the issue.

Olumba Olumba Obu instals peace in Nigeria

Peace which is the bed rock of every society is always regarded as a state of tranquility and harmony. It is also regarded as an atmosphere free of war and rancor. It is on this atmosphere that a stable and reasonable growth in any society can be achieved.
Brotherhood of the cross and star which is the new kingdom of God here on earth, was established on this planet earth to first fulfill the request which our lord Jesus made via the lord’s prayer ‘let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven” and then to lead man into the accurate knowledge of truth which is to educate man on the way to live and have a peaceful life here on earth.
Over the ages BCS have been known as an organization that upholds the teachings of oneness, love and peaceful co existence of all creation of God, that’s why the official greeting in BCS is ”Peace” which is the bedrock of oneness and love.
The world have been turned upside down, in our daily news we hear of wars rumors of wars, fighting killing, corruption, destruction and  division which has held this world of man to ransom and has caused man to question the existence of God.
Unknown to man, that the Prince of Peace who they have been looking for in strange places  has arrived  to the world of man and has set up a kingdom Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star to stream line mans activity and the express his power and might in mans scheme of work.
Nigeria is a nation that has been blessed by God, a nation full of natural and divine resources, that no other country can match, but Nigeria today is a shadow of herself because she has refused to recognize the divine position God placed on her.
The divine essence of God on earth is to bring peace where there is no peace, joy where there is no joy and to establish in the hearts of men that divine order of love, which is the unifying factor.
Brotherhood of the cross and star which divine duty is to bring lasting co existence, not just only between man and his fellow man but also between man with other creations of God, is calling on all inhabitance of this world to shun violence ,war ,killing , character assassination ,falsehood and hatred. This call was made in Abuja the seat of power in Nigeria by the Prince of Peace His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu when he graced the Brotherhood All Youth Assembly which is the umbrella body of the youth wing of BCS with the theme “One God, One Nation” on Sunday the 21th of September 2014 at the International Conference Center Abuja.
In his divine address he warned all detractors and war mongers to stop further igniting  trouble and war and that they should hence forth shield their swords and embrace peace that he has brought to mankind else they will face the wrath of God almighty.
He used the occasion to instill peace in Nigeria stressing that Nigeria can’t be destroyed by any man, or cracked by any man because God is the foundation of Nigeria and declared peace to Nigeria. His words “ Peace be unto Nigeria ,call of peace has been agreed in heaven and on earth, and all groups that have been perpetrating evil in Nigeria has been thrown into turmoil, they shall know no peace and their families have been exposed to danger because peace will rise and fight for Nigeria
The occasion is expected to calm the tension that have been created in the country for over five years due to the insurgence of the terror group book haram and the politics of bitterness that has eaten down the political class in Nigeria.
Let peace have chance in this country because its only peace that brings about positive development in a nation.

Olumba Olumba Obu to declare peace in Nigeria

At least 10,000 brethren of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star will today take part in a peace march round the streets of Abuja dressed in their traditional white robes, as the Father of the brotherhood, Olumba Olumba Obu visits Abuja to declare peace in Nigeria.
Speaking during a press conference yesterday, the chairperson of the local organising committee, LOC, Egan
Adat explained that the peace march is intended to capture the youths of Nigeria and to steer them back to the paths of
moral rectitude.
As part of the programmes of the Brotherhood All Youth Assembly, BAYA, the youth wing of the brotherhood in its
2014 outreach programme titled “Love for One Another,” the peace march is intended to raise awareness of the three-
day conference, and to institute the culture of peace in the minds of Nigerians.
According to Egan Adat, the youths who are a vibrant and skilful segment of the human resource of any society, have become very vulnerable to societal ills and are now deploying their talents and intellect negatively, thus the need for a value reorientation.
“Though ethnic differences, colour, language, belief system, customs etc, tend to divide us and create problems in the world, we are nonetheless one large family under “God, the creator,” Adat stressed.
The 10,000 man youth peace march which will begin from 7am today from the Eagle Square will kick off a three-day
event from Friday September 19, to Sunday September 21.
The event which includes seminars, conferences, visitations, exchange programmes, songs and trainings will
culminate in the Father declaring peace in Nigeria, a declaration believed to end the insurgency and other ethnic
crises that currently bedevil the country.

Dr Orji uzor Kalu pays a condolence visit to Tb joshua

Chairman and p u b l i s h e r of The Sun Newspapers, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu yesterday asked the General
Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua, to take the calamity that befell
his church with faith in God.
Kalu made the call yesterday during a condolence visit to the church and Prophet Joshua in Ikotun,
Lagos.
While paying condolences, the former Abia State governor challenged Joshua to take his strength from
the word of God in the Bible and face the situation with courage, knowing that calamity and bad
incidents are all part of life.
“You are a man of God that many run to in times of their distress, and God uses you to give them
strength, and now it has happened to you, the meaning is that you are also human and live in the world
full of troubles. I am not a preacher, but you are, and you know that even in the Bible which you and I
believe in, men of God like you, even great prophets, were not spared of calamities.
“A good and clear example is Job who all of us know about. I know in times like these, people would
say so many things about you, but I would encourage you to be strong and apply all the faith you have
lived with and preached to others, that actually liberated them from troubles to overcome.”
Kalu told the prophet that he is sure the heart of kindness, love and compassion with which he has
always handled other people’s problems would be enough reward from God he works for to make him
overcome.
He also urged Nigerians, especially those that have love and mercy for other human beings to pray for
Prophet Joshua, his church and that God should grant the people that lost their lives peaceful repose
and to their families the strength to bear the loss.
He told the prophet that though he had come to Lagos to pay condolence visit to the family of Pastor
Dimgba Igwe, the deceased Vice Chairman of The Sun Publishing who was killed by a hit-and-run
driver eight days ago, he felt it a duty to see the prophet and pass across a word of encouragement to
him.
“I know you; I know your love and compassion for human beings through your works, we all watch you
all over the world visiting human beings with kindness. About three years ago when disastrous
earthquake hit Haiti, you remained the first African to mobilize relief materials, experts and rescue
workers to Haiti to assist them. We know of many other works of charity you do, which is like the
mainstay of your ministry, and now, you face problems, God will never forsake you.”
The prophet who looked embattled, but still wearing his trademark smiles thanked Kalu and his
entourage for being so concerned and promised that the church and himself would do all possible to
handle the situation.
He praised the public rescue workers – the police, Lagos State chapter of the National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA), the Fire Service and other bodies including the State Security Service
(SSS) for the response and show of love and concern for him and the church immediately the incident
occurred.
He said he had got several calls from well-wishers from Nigeria and beyond and thanked the callers for
their concern.
He also noted that the church would do all possible within human ability to handle the situation and
overcome it. Prophet Joshua also assured that the incident would not shake his fate in God “because
He knows best, and can only explain why it happened or what caused it.”

It will be recalled that a building in the premisses of the scon colapsed on friday killing 3 and wounded scores of people.

The Lagos State AIDS Control Agency Trains Over 100 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs)

LSACA TRAINS OVER 100 TBAs

The Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) has held another sensitization programme for more than 100 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) on issues relating to HIV/AIDS, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) and Universal Safety Precautions (USP).

Delivering a lecture on PMTCT, Mrs. Olaide Oyenuga, a retired Deputy Director, Health Education said transmission could occur during pregnancy if proper care was not taken or during delivery and when breastfeeding the baby . According to her, with the intervention of the informed Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), patients would be better informed to make healthy lifestyle decisions for the sake of their unborn babies.

Mrs. Oyenuga reiterated that it is imperative for a mother to feed her child exclusively with breast milk for at least the first-six months of life or could use infant formula exclusively should she so decide, adding that a child would be more vulnerable with mixed feeding while urging HIV positive mothers to access Anti-Retroviral (ARV) treatment which would reduce the load of the virus in the body and as such would not be able to transmit the virus to the child during breastfeeding.

Condom demonstration session was conducted by Mrs. Olushola Adebambo in which participants were taught and encouraged on the correct and consistent use of condoms.

Similarly, Dr. Dayo Lajide took the TBAs through the cause, symptoms and prevention of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and encouraged them to observe personal hygiene especially with constant hand washing and use of Universal Safety Precautions at all times since there is no known cure for now.

Mrs. Aderonke Ajiboye taught the participants on measures to use in ensuring Universal Safety Precautions at all times during management of infected individuals which included the use of gloves, facemasks, safety box, waste disposal mechanism and cleanliness of their clinics.

Emmanuel Emenike missing from super eagles starting eleven against Congo

Super Eagles manager Stephen Keshi has unveiled his
starting lineup for Saturday evening’s African Cup of
Nations qualifier against Congo in Calabar.
In the absence of Lille number one, Hapoel Beer Sheva
goalkeeper Austin Ejide got the coaches’ nod to begin the
tie at the U. J. Esuene Stadium .
To provide cover for him in defense are Efe Ambrose,
Elderson Echiejile, Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo.
In the center of the pitch are Chelsea star John Obi Mikel,
Ramon Azeez and Eddy Onazi of Lazio.
Stephen Keshi has surprisingly omitted African Cup of
Nations top scorer Emmanuel Emenike from the team-
sheet, with the former Anderlecht libero preferring
Oduamadi, Nwofor and Ahmed Musa to lead the frontline.
The match will start at the U. J. Esuene Stadium at exactly
1700 hours Nigerian time.

ARE YOU A GROOM?

Many men have broken up with their spouse because they
end up not being the woman that they have dreamt of. But
they have forgotten that before a women gets married They won't
call the woman wife on her wedding day but Bride,
because it is the man that will Groom his bride to become
the wife.
That is why the man is called 'Groom', & the word
grooming has to do with patiently nurturing, teaching,
tending & helping someone to become what he or she
should be.
It is therefore believed that a man that is ready takes a woman to
the altar of marriage is matured enough to patiently Groom
his bride to become the wife. The man is not supposed to
just expect the Bride to automatically become the wife,
she must be Groomed.
Hence, many men built unnecessary expectations
when getting married, they want a magic to happen to their
wives, they want them to become what they have had in
mind about who they want their wives to be; not
considering the fact that, the woman does not know what
is on your mind except you teach her.
Their expectations are often too unrealistic, because they
forget that change takes time & they can only
expect something from someone that knows what they
really want.
So before you think of getting married or having a serious relationship, are you ready to Groom her? Have you given her time to understand you? Hope
you realise that a turtle will never become a hawk?
God often brings people that are opposites of each other together in marriage so that they can help each other in their place of weaknesses.
Men always be a groomer and don't always expect a finished good because a finished good may never have your ideology and may never make a good wife.

Nuhu Ribadu shelves governorship ambition

A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and seven other
governorship aspirants in Adamawa State on the platform
of the Peoples Democratic Party, have been asked to shelve
their ambition till 2015.
Ribadu and the seven aspirants are therefore not taking
part in the party’s governorship primary scheduled to hold
in Yola on Saturday.
This decision was taken at the Presidential Villa, Abuja in
the early hours of Friday after about four hours of meeting
with the 14 aspirants by the leadership of the party
including the Senate President, David Mark.
Apart from Ribadu, others who have agreed to step down
include Auwal Tukur, Aliyu Idi-Hong, Andrawus Sawa,
James Barka, Aliyu Kama, Markus Gundiri and Abubakar
Girei.
Those who will slug it out on Saturday at the primary are
Jerry Kumdisi, Ahmed Gulak, Buba Marwa, Dr. Umaru Ardo,
Ahmed Modibbo and Acting Governor Umaru Fintiri.
It was agreed at the meeting that those who stepped down
would vie for the position in 2015 while those who are
contesting now would not be part of those who will vie for
the position next year.
Speaking with State House correspondents after the
meeting, Chairman of the Adamawa State chapter of the
party, Mr. Joel Madaki said, “The number of aspirants
contesting for the position earlier have now reduced form
14 to six due to the outcome of this meeting. It is a very
welcome idea. Nobody was forced to step down. Those who
stepped down did so voluntarily in order to wait to contest
for the position in 2015.
“The six aspirants contesting this election are Ahmed
Gulak, Buba Marwa, Ahmed Modibbo, Dr. Umar Ardo,
Acting Governor Umaru Fintiri, and Jerry Kumdisi.”
The former Special Adviser to the President on Political
Affairs, Gulak, also corroborated Madaki’s comments.
He said, “The outcome of the meeting was fantastic. We met
as family members of PDP, even before coming here all the
aspirants in Adamawa have unanimously resolved that
after the primary, in a free, fair primary, anybody that
emerges will get our support.
“Today, in this meeting, the number of the aspirants has
been drastically reduced to six, which is manageable. I am
contesting, Marwa is contesting, Ahmed Modibbo is
contesting, Dr. Umar Ardo is contesting, Hon. Jerry
Kumdisi is contesting, and Acting Governor Fintiri is
contesting.
“And at the end of it all, anybody that emerges, we will all
queue behind him. And if I emerge as the candidate, they
will all queue behind me. It is going to be a family affair
and there will be no losers.”

Indian sacrifices keep the world supplied with human hair

Strong religious belief and spirituality,
coupled with sky-rocketing demand from western
women, have made India the world leader in the hair
extension trade.
The country has long been the world's biggest exporter of
human hair, and companies involved in the sector
estimate that the business is worth up to 8.5 billion
rupees (Dh735 million) a year.
Hair is offered as a sacrifice to the hundreds of
thousands of gods in the Hindu pantheon for reasons as
diverse as seeking to ward off ill-health to wanting to
bring luck and fortune.
Human hair is a lucrative business in India. Companies
export long hair to the West where it is used for wigs and
hair extensions, whilst the shorter hair is mainly sold to
Chinese firms who extract amino acids from it.
For large temples, where it is considered auspicious for
pilgrims to have their heads shaved, the clippings are a
major source of income.
At the Venkateshwara Temple in south India more than 75
tonnes of hair are sold annually, raising nearly £4 million
for the temple's charities. Crispin Thorold reports for The
World Today .
Devotees
The Venkateshwara Temple, at Tirumala in the south
Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, is thought to attract more
pilgrims than Jerusalem, Rome or Mecca.
Over 18 million devotees visit every year to pay their
respects to an incarnation of Vishnu; the God that Hindus
believe protects and sustains all that is good in society.
The temple is India's richest; something that P
Krishnaiah, the executive officer of the temple's managing
committee, attributes to extraordinary faith:
‘People believe that this Lord represents Lord Vishnu.
Normally people feel that Gods cannot be seen. But
people believe here is a God that is seen. That is how
people are willing to donate large sums of money,
because they have that faith.’
Some estimates put Tirumala's annual income at a billion
rupees, which is a staggering £15 million ($23 million).
Most of this comes from direct donations, but a significant
proportion is raised by the sale of human hair as even the
very humblest visitor can offer as much as his wealthier
neighbours.
‘The pilgrims come to Tirumala and donate their hair. The
reason they do this is when a head is shaved the person
loses their beauty.'
'So the devotees who come here want to donate their
hair, because a Hindu feels giving hair to the Lord is
more important than giving money.'

Now the question is how many are sure of what the really use this hairs for before transporting it down to us? May God save us.

US men found innocent after 30 years in jail

Seriously this is insane!! 30years and the truth is just out? i never wish this for my enemy. please read this.

DNA evidence shows brothers, who are severely disabled and
were teenagers when arrested in 1983 , were wrongly
convicted.
Two mentally impaired half- brothers have been freed after
serving three decades in a US prison for the rape and murder
of a child after DNA evidence proved they were not guilty.
A judge in Robeson County said on Tuesday that Henry Lee
McCollum, 50 , North Carolina state 's longest - serving death-
row inmate , and Leon Brown , 46 , were innocent of the 1983
rape and killing of 11 - year - old Sabrina Buie after the
evidence came to light.
Both are severely intellectually disabled and were teenagers
at the time of their arrests in 1983, the AFP news agency
reported .
Following false confessions , McCollum was given a death
sentence and Brown was serving life for the rape.
" This case highlights in a most dramatic manner the
importance of finding the truth , " said Ann Kirby , Brown ' s
lawyer .
" Today , truth has prevailed , but it comes 30 years too late for
Sabrina Buie and her family, and for Leon , Henry , and their
families .
" Their sadness, grief, and loss will remain with them forever . "
North Carolina state law now requires murder interrogations
to be recorded or videotaped , but at the time the brothers
were convicted such laws were not in effect .
There were no recordings of the confessions , which contained
details that authorities now acknowledge were factually
impossible .
