Ayade's aides to assess mystery river in Olumba Olumba's village

Special Adviser to Gov Ben Ayade of Cross River State in tourism, Eric Anderson has disclosed that a team from the tourism bureau will soon undertake a fact-finding tour of the amplified birthplace of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu in Biakpan community, Biase local government area of the state, to assess the tourism potentials.

He said they will also use the opportunity to look at the much-talked about slow-running Biakpan stream which mysteriously surrounds Obu's small community, and reputed to be potent with curative powers.

For this reason, hundreds of thousand of believers, pilgrims, miracle-seekers, foreign tourists and researchers have been  flocking into the village continually to take a dip into the stream and also scoop the sands of Biakpan, according to reports.

It is for this reason that the state government wanting to shore up not only revenue to boost its lean finances but to also widen its annual Calabar Christmas Carnival has decided to collaborate with Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS).

According to Eric Anderson, special adviser to Gov Ayade on tourism, BCS pulls over a million adherents and thousands of other believers and guests both to its international headquarters which situate at No 34 Ambo Street, Calabar and Biakpan village every six months.

"To us as a government this holds special attraction. And as a tourism department or agency, it has occurred to us that we need to do something to mutually benefit by expanding tourism potentials of our state. We have approached the authorities if the BCS for us to see how we can collaborate", Anderson said.

Explaining purpose of the meeting he had with the coordinating bishop of BCS for Africa, 80 year old Archbishop James Crawford Ellerbe, a Black American, at the BCS Royal Museum, Anderson said that the state government has burning desire to set the ball rolling in order to take tourism business to a much higher level.

Andersen maintained that with large number of White and Black Americans, Europeans and other Africans steadily spending lengthy time at BCS Headquarters, they cannot afford to dilly-dallying.

"I can say that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has tremendously impacted tourism in the state in view of  millions of Black and White adherents that flock into Calabar and Biakpan, birthplace of the Founder of the spiritual organization frequently from around the world for religious observances. There is dire need for the state government to collaborate with the organisation and properly package religious tourism for mutual benefits as part of bolstering tourism drive".

Speaking when he hosted Andersen and his team about how Black Americans as well as teeming foreign adherents of the BCS fold can boost tourism in Cross River, the octogenarian Black American, Archbishop Ellerbe, who is a naturalised Nigerian  called on the  State government to provide land for the building of what he called Black American Diasporan Village.

Ellerbe said that a large number of Black Americans were now ready to return to Africa, Calabar, to be specific and equally naturalise.

It would be recalled that in 1993, Ellerbe led a 19-man delegation of Black American engineers, agriculture experts, academicians, entertainers, scientists, etc to spend one month in Nigeria where they met with the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe, Leader O. O. Obu,religious, labour, business and government leaders and also explored beneficial opportunities.

According to Ellerbe,  Black Americans, eager to return to Nigeria, would need land to build their homes, establish business ventures, transfer technologies and impact local economy with their expertise.

He told the representatives of the  State government  that there is imminent influx of foreign immigrants, particularly African-Americans, Europeans, Asians,  into Calabar, in view of the divine powers of the founder of BCS, which he claims, have impacted them much.

"There are thousands of other Blacks in USA, Europe and elsewhere who are also eager to return to Africa, their ancestral homeland. I know very many that have traced their origin to Calabar and would want to come home. We need your government and indeed federal government of Nigeria to oblige us with lands more particularly.

"We need encouragement from Nigeria.  Many of us are millionaires, international stars, influential experts in diverse fields. We want to come home and impacts our own", he said.

As it looks, Gov Ayade who has much love for and has actually signed many MoU with foreigners to invest in the state, may favourably grant the request if the octogenarian after deeper discussion, said Andersen.

Buttressing Archibishop Ellerbe, Bishop  Parkson Edjeketah who is director of the Museum and Bishop Opara, a UK based adherent, said a delegation of the BCS will soon meet with Gov Ayade.

Olumba Olumba Obu to build the third and everlasting temple in Nigeria outside the temple mount in Jerusalem

His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu recently in 34 Ambo street calabar laid the foundation Stone of what the fold called "Olumba's supreme temple".

This temple according the members of the fold is the fulfilment of the end time prophecies.

The building of the third prophetic temple in Jerusalem has been a battle without end for years now.
Judiasm, Christianity and Islam have been claiming right to the temple mount where the first and the second temple where built.

Brotherhood of the cross and star which many believe is the kingdom of God here on earth with so many scripturally backed  history has decleared that the third temple will no longer be built on that temple mount in Jerusalem. They also belive  that Jerusalem has been rejected by God and this is the time for the gentiles as recorded in the scriptures in Mattew 21 vs 43-44 and I quote  “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.

On Saturday 26th of march 2016 His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu laid the foundation Stone of the Olumba supreme temple which he described as an indestructible temple that radiates  perfect spiritual energy threrin; no problem brought into this temple that cannot be solved.

The occasion withness the display of the scriptural 7 candle stands which represents the seven spirits  of God to the amazement of worshipers and the chants of the angels  ,which determined the angelic order of choirs.

The occasion was climaxed with consolidation of faithfuls as solid standing pillars in Olumba Supreme temple.

It was a week off fun fare, spirituality and choral festival as Brotherhood Of The Sross and star celebrates her 45^th anniversary of their physical existence in the republic of Ghana with the theme “Celebrating the stars of Africa”

 

The weeklong celebration witness thousands of people from all works of life including worshipers from Nigeria, Liberia, South Africa, United State of American and other African countries.

The celebration saw the physical presence of the universal leader of the Brotherhood of the cross and star His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu in the republic of Ghana.

He was received at the Ghana international airport by dignitaries and executives of the Brotherhood of the cross and star Ghana after which he was given a resounding welcome ceremony at BCS national headquarters in Accra where he  said that his coming to Ghana was to liberate the entire black race.

The universal leader paid a visit to Kumasi were he commissioned a drinkable water treatment facility , a project which was the brain child of BCS GHANA.

He was also received at the BCS bethel in Kumasi where members and non-members alike trooped out to get a glimpse of the universal leader of Brotherhood of the cross and star who has been seen to have so much spiritual and physical influence around the globe and beyond.

Further more during the thanks giving service held at the Fred Diabene walker auditorium millennium city kasua Ghana the universal leader of BCS said that Ghana in the early days was called Gold coast where gold was mined and exported which resulted in the glory days of the then Gold coast country, he then asked the meaning of the present name Ghana which to him has resulted in the dwindling of the fortune of the country. He affirmed that through his physical presence in the country that Ghana will see massive changes in their fortunes

As part of the activities marking the event ,there was a peaceful procession round the streets of Ghana culminating at the independent square where prayers of peace and liberation was offered.

One of the major high points of the celebrations was the interdenominational choral festival where over 14 choirs from other church denominations and that of BCS competed for a star price of $3000 which produced the mozama church choir from Ghana as the winner.

Brotherhood, a unique and global brand, says NUJ chairman

Comrade Ndoma Akpet, chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists in Cross River State has described Brotherhood of the Cross and Star as a conspicuous brand, which has become accepted in most countries of the world.
He made the remark at the BCS world headquarters, No 34 Ambo Street Calabar Nigeria when he led a 20-man delegation of journalists to pay courtesy call on the King of kings and Lord of lords, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.
Comrade Akpet maintained that through perseverance, the Holy Father has successfully created this religious brand that has no equal anywhere in the world, and which can easily be recognised anywhere in the world with unique features.
According to him, the brand has today become influential, sought-after and was magneting increasing number of faithful all over the world.
Akpet who is a pastor in his local church said: "I do not care what opinion anyone has about the Brotherhood and her leadership, but it has to be so for her to become conspicuous and unique as a brand. Brotherhood organisation has worked hard and passed many trials to be something to reckon with today. There is no organisation quite like it."
He recalled that a week earlier he was in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, and heard how a set of young people were rendering sonorous, divine tunes in a taxi he was travelling in. He said he was engrossed. Although he said he could immediately trace who they were but he had to ask them, and to his suspicion, they said they were children of Father Olumba Obu.
"Brotherhood has made Cross River State proud going by her ability to continually pull tens of thousands of her members to converge in the city frequently for religious service.
"To me, this is religious tourism. And I want to encourage Brotherhood to continue to champion this brand of tourism.
"Cross River was supposed to be tourism destination, according to the state government. But I do not know how much they have so far succeeded compare with India and Brazil which are seen to be leading in medical and carnival tourism respectively. My own description of tourism is what Brotherhood is doing", Akpet said.
Also commending the Father for appointing and consecrating nearly 220 new bishops at one go, chairman of the state Correspondents' Chapel, an arm of NUJ, Mazi Judex Okoro of the SUN newspapers, said Father Olumba Olumba Obu has lived an exemplary lifestyle which is worthy of emulation.
He explained that they came to introduce the newly elected officials of the chapel and to solicit for Father's usual blessing to enable them succeed during their tenure.
He said that journalists in the state have always been on the side of the Father and will continue to be because the Father is embodiment of peace and love, and has always been their dependable Supporter, Friend and Patron of note.
He lamented however that when the Father instituted Investigative Award for Journalists many years ago in the state none of them met the required standard, promising that if such was revived and with the calibre of well trained and experienced reporters now, they would not miss the award.
He regreted that there was a slight disconnect between them and the Brotherhood for a period which led to their inability to regularly have one-on-one meeting with the Holy Father, praying that such unique opportunity should resurface.
"We are very ready to cooperate and continue to splash news features in our print and electronic media about Brotherhood and the Father", he assured, and appealed for Father's continued support.
Spokesman of BCS, his lordship Bishop Princely Ibeabuchi who received the large delegation of Cross River journalists on Father's behalf, apologised that due to very tight schedules of the Holy Father, especially as preparations for Eton Day/Consecration of new Bishops had become intense, He was therefore present at the meeting spiritually to bless them.
He used the opportunity to formally invite them all to the event, which he said bishops and other brethren were already arriving from around the world.
He said the Father was very happy to have them visit Him and encouraged them to continue to work sincerely and with absolute commitment to promote the works of truth such that inundate the BCS.
He said the Father will ever extend His large-heartedness and grace to them any time not only as their Patron but as the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe.
The spokesman who presented a cheque of N300,000 to the Correspondents' Chapel for their welfare and equipping their new office, encouraged them to realise that they constitute a powerful bloc which position they should use to galvanize popular opinion necessary for the national parliament to make useful laws to benefit them and larger society.
In a press statement he later distributed to them, Father condemned same-sex marriage which was being championed by America.
He cautioned political leaders to stop to dip their hands into public treasuries and use same to better the lives of the citizenry.
Father urged all to live in peace, and the authorities to regularly resolve cases of civil disobedience using peaceful means.

Popular prophetess Helen ukpabio suffers stroke

According to reports making the rounds, the General Overseer of Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries Church, Helen Ukpabio, is down with paralysis.

The prophetess, who is based in Calabar, Cross River State, has been criticised many times for demonising some children, who she brands as witches. Sometimes ago, she was reportedly barred from entering the UK because of her stand on such children.

It is reported that Helen is battling with stroke, which has kept her confined to the bed. However, her camp is reportedly pointing accusing fingers at her enemies.
Meanwhile, sources say it is really troubling to her loyal followers as the preacher, who is well vast in fighting mysticism, demonism and occultism is suffering such sickness and being unable to deliver herself.

She is said to have spent a fortune on the ailment, which has refused to go.

Marriage is About Giving not Receiving. Marriage is not about meeting your spouse halfway 50/50. In a happy & healthy marriage each spouse gives 100% total commitment unconditionally & independent of what the other spouse does.

The Bible doesn't say, “a man should love his wife only if she will submit.” Or, “a woman should submit to her husband only if he loves her.” The Bible just says it is the husband's responsibility to love his wife (Ephesians 5:25) & it is the wife's’ responsibility to submit (Ephesians 5:22). If the husband will be commited to love his wife as Christ loved the church,then he makes it much easier for the wife to submit. If the wife will submit, then she makes it much easier for her husband to love her.

But God's command for husband to love & for wife to submit, is unconditional & independent of what the other spouse does.

Man LOVE your woman unconditionally whether they deserve it or not. Woman RESPECT your man at all times whether he shows you love or not!

was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was ultimately beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew
Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. Andrew
Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Sub-continent.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Ghanaian Pastor In New York Sentenced To 24 Months In Prison For Refusing To Marry Gay Couple

A pastor at the Power of Christ ministries in Bronx, NY has been sentenced to 24 months in a federal penitentiary after his refusal to officiate a gay wedding ceremony. This comes shortly after the US Supreme Court’s decision to legalize gay marriage in the entire country.

The lawyer of the 37 year old pastor, Rev. Kwame Agyei speaking on behalf of his client stated:

“We are in the process of appealing the guilty verdict and i believe we will come out victorious,” said attorney James Austin.”Rev. Agyei was exercising his religious freedom rights which is granted by the constitution of this land.”
“Religious freedom goes both ways, Mr. Austin,” Williams told a packed courtroom. “It is not your place to deny individuals the same rights that everyone else has, rights that were passed down and agreed upon in a court of law, the ultimate court, the Supreme Court. It is not your decision whether or not you agree with the law but more importantly that you follow it and enforce it.” According to the criminal investigation, Power of Christ ministries is registered with the state of New York as a “religious corporation” limited to performing “one-man-one-woman marriages as defined by the Holy Bible.”

But the church is also registered as a for-profit business and city officials said that means the owners must comply with state and federal regulations

History was made, as BCS names worlds youngest Bishop

History was made on the 12^th day of july 2015 at the great hall of Brotherhood of the cross and star when His holiness Olumba Olumba Obu   promoted a 25 year old priest to the rank of a bishop in the fold.

Rabbi Trinita a man with exceptional and intriguing beginning, was born of Immaculate Conception (of a virgin mother) in the then Zaire. The incident prompted the government of the then country to investigate the claim and it was all confirmed.

Its yet to be confirmed from Guinness book of record if he will be officially announced  the youngest bishop in the world, but information from within and outside the sect says the young priest will go ahead and be announced the youngest bishop in the world.

The clergy through his Facebook post thanked His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu for making the world  recognize  him as the youngest bishop.

It can be recalled that Brotherhood of the cross and star has recently promoted over 150 members to the rank of bishop.

In his homely His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu charged them to always work in spirit and emulate Christ as they start their bishopric duties.

The consecration of the newly bishops will come up on Saturday 8/8/15 at the BCS world headquarter of the BCS.

I will like to lay more emphasis on some of the remakable and spiritual overwheming events that our gracious Holy Father has hosted for us in Brotherhood of the cross and star.

Accordingly, God who is the master planner, the grand designer of all things has today chosen to unravel the mystery behind the Powerful Remnant as the BCS Universal Event for 2015 to all creation, in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hear Me O! Earth and hear me all the inhabitants of the earth;
I am lifting my voice up unto the entire Universe because the days of doom and the days of all calamities are already
hear.
The days when every man shall be tested to the very limit and at hand.
I declare that the days where people shall fall away from the faith and give into seducing spirit are already with us.

The days where the Lord God shall unleash His anger upon the earth; in those days of which I am referring to shall men seek death and will not find it; and shall desire to die, and dearth shall flee from them, in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ,Amen.
The announcement of the Powerful Remnant was by no means a joke; whilst you were all jubilating and elated here
on earth that the Universal event for the year 2015 has been unveiled,this same announcement immediately triggered
silence in heaven for about the space of half an hour and to seven angels before the deific throne of our God were handed 7 trumpets.
My dear children inform the world that the sound of each trumpet implies calamities; it implies woes and catastrophe upon mankind. While one Angel is flying through the midst of heaven crying with a loud voice saying woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth; Another mighty Angel with one foot on the sea and the other foot on the earth is swearing

every trumpets heralds the divine intervention of God in the affairs of humanity and the gradual but spiritually designed evolution of the everlasting kingdom of righteousness, in the
name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen
The question now is who shall be found standing at the on the side of the Lord after these wrath and indignation of God
Most High? Who are the people who will still steadfast and truthfully uphold the testimony of Christ?
......The answer is obvious....these shall be the Powerful Remnants.
The celebration of this event is a very rare and special gift from God; an event that is spiritually thought provoking for those who are spiritually conscious... ...it will reveal all those who successfully enter into the everlasting Covenant of Salt and will clearly distinguish between those who will share in the glory of the Lamb and those who will suffer the vengeance of eternal fire.
To become part of the Powerful Remnant is a race that needs patience, humility, love, faithfulness in God and
above all things the lavish gift of the Holy Spirit.
Through ages God has always kept a remnant for Himself; those who have not defiled their robes with the wickedness
and evil prevalent in the world.
In the days of Noah the gospel was increasingly ignored.
Noah and his family suffered 100 years of scorn and ridicule while constructing the ark, that age came to an end with
remnant of just 8 persons. Elijah in his days thought he was the only faithful one left in Israel, yet God said to him, “I
have reserved to Myself seven thousand men who have not
bowed their knees to the image of Baal”.
In the city of Sodom and Gomorrah only Lot and his two unmarried daughters were saved; Lots wife as you already
know was encrusted to salt while Lot's other children perished Sodom and Gomorrah.
A remnant of only two righteous men - Caleb and Joshua survived the wilderness wandering of the Jews of the
Exodus.
It does no matter how many souls will truthfully uphold the testimony of righteousness. At the sound of the 7th and last trumpet, it does not also matter how many people God will find on earth still having faith in His operations.
The remnant has always been a minority......Narrow and small obviously indicates remnant rather than crowd.
The consummation of the final revelation of this Kingdom of Jehovah God and his Christ shall be done by the remnant.
This event will be held from Monday 30th through Sunday 5th April 2015.
The theme for this event shall be;
.. .Truthfully upholding the testimony of Christ.
The them song for this spiritual event shall be;Listen to the testimony of Christ, listen to the testimony of Christ, Christ testimony overwhelming testimony, listen to the testimony of Christ.

It will be my joy that all my children are part of the Powerful Remnant come the sound of the last trumpet.
It is the God's promise that He will care for the remnant;
God will restore their fortunes and everything which they may have lost will be restored unto them,
The prophetic books of the bible also saw what the Lord will do for the remnant; This is what the Lord Almighty says....I
will save my people from the country of the East and the West, even to the North and South and I will bring them
back to poses that which had been ordained for them, they will be my people and I will be faithful and righteous to
them as their God.

the face of the earth: men, fowls of the air, beast of the field and fishes in the water including plants even angels shall be

When God was fully ready to deliver the Israelites from bondage in the land of Egypt He ordered that they should
observed the Passover;every family was required to have their lamb which will be sacrificed and the blood of the
lamb sprinkled on their door post.
This was the breaking point for Pharaoh because at the stroke of midnight the Lord unleashed the last of the ten
plagues on the Egyptians... .
The feast of Passover that will be celebrated during this event is highly significant, as it is about one go on is so
profound, so holy and so important that without Him there is no hope for mankind. I am speaking of Our Lord Jesus
Christ who has today returned as the personified King, Lord and Master; He is the true Passover Lamb
During the feast of Passover I have the authority of the Council Chamber of Eternity to physically sound all of the
seven trumpets. The sound of each trumpet shall be symbolic and it shall also be recorded in heaven and all those under the sound of it shall receive divine security and preservation in the coming days of great woes.
This feast shall be observed with unleavened bread and sanctified water amongst others sacred ordinances which
shall be served to all God's creation by the Father. As the blood of lamb delivered the Israelites from dearth so shall the love of Olumba deliver you from destruction, in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Offering of Temple Sacrifice:

This event shall be in the evening of Friday 3rd April 2015. I had last year revealed that once the Offering of Temple
Sacrifice was established, it will become a constant feature in our yearly Universal event. Inform all My children that it
is the divine expectation of the Holy Father for all to attend this event with personal offering unto God.
I emphasized that the observance of this very spiritual exercise is quite symbolic and it will always serve as a reminder to the generality of mankind on their covenant responsibly to God.
Be reminded that as you bring your gift upon the altar of purification, you should be able to say, “Father, my very best is what I bring to you with all my heart”.

Every sacrifice is made at a cost. In fact, that is what differentiates a sacrifice from an offering. When you give an
offering, you may not really miss anything; life goes on as usual. But when you give a sacrifice, it is something that you
will miss because of its importance to you. That is why the Bible says, "He that goes forth weeping and bearing precious
seeds to sow..." (Psalm 126: 6). The 'weeping' there signifies the cost. The cost of a sacrifice must match the level of result expected. So, when God gave Jesus, it was the highest sacrifice that could ever be given; in Heaven or on earth.

The orderliness of God is reflected in His entire creation. From the structure of the DNA to the most complex organism there is an orderly arrangement. God doesn't do things randomly,and for fun. Everything He does is for a purpose, and there is
an orderly sequence to everything.
Understanding this order of things, and embracing the orderly sequence of God's Divine arrangement is the first step towards realizing our purpose.
Man's attempt to reorder the order of God's arrangements is a direct affront, and rebellion against God. Man at the zenith of his intellectual attainment cannot rival the Omniscience of God.
God doesn't make mistakes, and none of arrangement is guesswork.
There is a deliberate order and structure to everything created. The sooner man understands this, and the sooner he
accepts that Order is the first law in heaven, the better for him. But if man thinks that by continuous research and advancement in science and technology he will one day be equipped enough to rival God, he is pursuing a fantasy that will never materialize.
Until man accepts God's Order, his attempt to order the world will continue to lead to chaos. For God, and not man knows the right order of things in the universe.

PFN chairman accuses Gov Amechi of Giving 500 pastors money to campaign for APC

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Cross River State has alleged that the Director General (DG) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Governor Chibuike Amaechi, gave money to five hundred pastors in October last year to get their support for his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The pastors made the allegation against Amaechi who is also the Rivers State Governor in apparent response to the allegations he made recently against pastors in the country whom he accused of collecting N6 billion from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to mount campaigns against the presidential candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari.

Commenting on the N6 billion allegations made by Amaechi against pastors yesterday, the Chairman of the PFN in Cross River State, Bishop Emmah Isong, told journalists that though no money had been given to pastors as alleged by Amaechi, however, the DG of the Buhari’s presidential campaign lacks the moral authority to accuse anyone of giving pastors money to campaign against the political interest of the APC.

Buttressing his claim that Amaechi was being hypocritical concerning the allegation he levelled against pastors in the country, Isong who spoke at the headquarters of his church, the Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI) , said: “My first answer to that will be that the governor that said that did not mention names. Pastor (Enoch) Adeboye himself on the 4th of February at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) headquarters in Lagos, in front of 6,000 pastors challenged that whoever made the allegations should mention names. Up till today we have not heard the names of whoever collected the N6 billion to share to the pastors.

“Number two point is that: If N6 billion was shared to pastors to mobilise Christians for the elections, you should know that people like Adeboye, whom I call one of the most important Christians in Nigeria, who has the largest church would have been aware, and would have advised against it.

“Again, I in Cross River State, being the number one pentecostal and as chairman of PFN for over eight years now, I have not also collected one kobo.

“By these, talking about Adeboye at the national and I at the state here, I believe this N6 billion which was given in the dream has not yet been transferred to physical cash.

“My other point is that the governor that alleged this N6 billion, in October 2014 gathered 500 pastors at Presidential Hotel Port Harcourt and also gave each of them money. I can give you three account numbers and names of those who benefitted from his own money which he gave to those pastors.

“And therefore for him to accuse pastors of collecting N6 billion, is a fiction of his own imagination of a strategy he is already practicing in his own party.
“So, I put this accusation back to him to deny that he did not give money to pastors; which is what prompted him to wake up to say pastors have collected N6 billion. So let him begin that charity at home.”

The PFN chairman stated that Amaechi’s comments about the N6 billion and pastors in the country was similar, and comes from the same forces that attempted to discredit the reputation of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) , Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor over the arms importation controversy that pitched Nigeria against South Africa.

“And be that as it may, I believe that the same spirit of accusing Pastor Ayo ( Oritsejafor) of $9.2 million, which was not true, is the same cabal which is cooking up N6 billion accusations.”

Stating that the accusation level by Amaechi against pastors was done in bad fate and has attracted negative consequences for the APC, Isong said: “The accusation is against pastors because some people are thinking that all pastors are PDP. They don’t know that a bulk of pastors support APC. It is just an assumption, however, that all pastors are PDP and Jonathan. It is not true. Some pastors in Cross River support the Labour Party (LP), some pastors in Rivers are APC, some in Imo are APGA (All Progressives Grand Alliance), some in Abuja are PDP. So, there is no 100 per cent gathering of pastors to a particular party. This is what the person that did that accusation does not even know. In fact by raising that alarm, he lost a lot of pastors that were supporting APC”.

Isong said he was prepared to submmit himself for investigation concerning Amaechi’s allegation against pastors.

“However there is no such money as Amaechi alleged. I can be investigated. My accounts are open,” Isong said.

The PFN boss said: “Amaechi goofed by naccusing men of God and indicting them

on a matter he cannot prove.”

Fasting can regenerate immune system scientific discovery

The Telegraph recently reported that scientists at the University of Southern California (USC) have discovered that fasting “for as little as three days can regenerate the entire immune system,
even in the elderly, scientists have found in a breakthrough described as ‘remarkable.’”

New research suggests that fasting kick-starts stem cells into producing new white blood cells, which fight off infection.

Scientists at the University of Southern California found that fasting could be especially beneficial for people suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy.

It could also help the elderly whose immune system becomes less effective as they age, making it harder for them to fight off even common diseases.

The researchers say fasting “flips a regenerative switch” which prompts stem cells to create brand new white blood cells, essentially regenerating the entire immune system.

Valter Longo, corresponding author of the study and a professor at the USC Davis School of Gerontology, stated: “When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged.”

Longo added, “With a system heavily damaged by chemotherapy or aging, fasting cycles can generate, literally, a new immune system.”

ANC YOUTHS WARNS T.B JOSHUA NOT TO COME TO SOUTH AFRICA

SYNAGOGUE Church of All Nations (Scoan) founder Pastor
TB Joshua has been warned by the youth wing of the
African National Congress (ANC) not to visit South Africa
any time soon after 84 of its citizens died when his Lagos
hotel collapsed.
On September 12, a six-storey hotel building within Pastor
Joshua's church premises collapsed at Ikotun in Lagos,
killing 115 people of which 84 were South African. Following
the tragedy, the South African government has been under
pressure to seek legal redress to get compensation for the
victims.
South Africa's air force has evacuated the survivors,
sending a C-130 plane to bring them to Pretoria and Pastor
Joshua has offered to visit South Africa to empathise with
the families of the deceased. However, Bandile Masuku, a
spokesman for the ANC's youth wing said they would make
sure such trip never come to pass.
He added that Pastor Joshua would not be welcome in
South Africa and warned the South African government not
to issue a visa to him. Tempers are running high in South
Africa at the moment as of the 25 injured persons flown
back for treatment and rehabilitation at the Steve Biko
Academic Hospital in Pretoria, three of them are adjudged to
be permanently disabled.
Mr Masuku said: “TB Joshua should not be allowed to
come to South Africa until we know what happened to our
fellow countrymen at his church. We will make sure we
engage with the department of international relations and
co-operation to make sure they do not issue him a South
African visa.”
South Africa's social development deputy minister,
Hendrieta Bogopane Zulu, said the government would,
however, provide counselling to the affected families to
enable them cope with the trauma. At the moment the
corpses of 84 South Africans are lying at the Isolo General
Hospital morgue in Lagos and a South African forensic team
has begun identifying them.
South Africa's high commissioner to Nigeria, Lulu Mnguni,
said: “There are 115 bodies out there but we have our 84
and we will then confirm from our people. We have taken
DNA samples from family members who were here and we
have taken DNA samples from family members in South
Africa.
“That will help us determine who is South African and who
is not. We will then get our people released back to us.”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State government said it had
suspended all decisions on the collapsed building until it
gets the report from the panel of inquiry set up by the
federal government to investigate the incident. Aderemi
Ibirogba, the Lagos State commissioner for information and
strategy, said the state took the step to avoid working at
cross purposes with the federal government on the issue.
